Our Why

Jason and Bobby’s friendship, once forged in high school, has now grown into something far greater. Their bond, strengthened by shared grief and a commitment to their cause, has made them a powerful force for change. What started as two friends reconnecting has become a movement—a call for awareness, understanding, and hope for all those struggling with mental health issues. And so, every post, every interview, and every conversation serves as a reminder to everyone:

You matter. Your life matters.

You are never alone.

Our reach has grown in 2026!

Second Chance Supply – 10816 E 23rd St independence

Second Chance Supply, co-founded by Wes Cauveren and Bobby Hines, gives items and people a second chance by keeping usable goods out of landfills while creating sustainable funding for community impact.

We source inventory through:

  • Donations
  • Pallet auctions
  • Estate sales
  • Storage units
  • HOA and business purchases

Proceeds help operate our Independence, Missouri location, which serves as a physical hub led by UMatter Movement where non-profits can share resources, receive donated items, and collaborate to better serve the community.

Whenever possible, items that can directly benefit a non-profit are donated instead of sold.

Shop our inventory on Facebook Marketplace through secondchancekc.co or visit one of our monthly garage sales. Every purchase and donation helps fund the hub, support nonprofit partners, reduce landfill waste, and give both items and people a second chance.
