Bobby's Bio
With a heart for service and a passion for his community, Bobby Hines has spent the past decade as the General Manager of Sandy’s Restaurant in Blue Springs, where his leadership has made a lasting impact. Beyond his professional role, Bobby is a dedicated advocate for mental health, addiction recovery, homelessness, and hunger relief. His mission is to break down stigmas, provide hope, and be of service wherever he is needed.
Bobby is an active force in community initiatives, serving on the Blue Springs Fall Fun Fest Committee, the National Night Out Committee, and various other local projects. His unwavering commitment to service was recognized when he was honored as the Truman Heartland Community Foundation Citizen of the Year. He works hand in hand with other non-profits, uniting under a common vision to create real change for those in need.
At the core of Bobby’s mission is the belief that no one should suffer in silence. He has seen firsthand how mental health struggles and addiction can impact lives, and he is determined to provide resources, support, and advocacy for those facing these challenges. To him, The You Matter Movement is more than just an initiative—it is a call to action to ensure that lives are not lost to preventable struggles.
Outside of his advocacy work, Bobby enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, traveling, and making a difference in every way he can. He lives by Henry Ford’s words:
“Whether you think you can or you can’t, you are correct.”
For Bobby, the choice is clear—he chooses to believe in the power of hope, change, and community.

JASON STILLWELL
Co-Founder & Vice President
Jason's Bio
Beyond his professional expertise, Jason has always been deeply involved in his community. He spent years coaching soccer for local organizations, focusing on teamwork, personal growth, and enjoyment. His commitment to giving back is also reflected in his longtime support of the March of Dimes Bikers for Babies, where he consistently raised funds as a Grand Donor.
Jason’s dedication to mental health awareness and suicide prevention stems from personal loss. After the passing of his father to suicide in 2018, he turned his grief into action by becoming an integral part of the You Matter Movement, a powerful initiative aimed at breaking the stigmas surrounding mental health and providing hope to those struggling. In a heartfelt effort to raise awareness, he launched a personal challenge to play catch every day for 365 days, sharing his journey and encouraging conversations about mental health. His advocacy resonated with many, leading to interviews with KMBC 9 and local radio stations, amplifying the reach of his message.
Residing in Independence, Missouri, Jason is a devoted husband to Angela Stillwell. In his free time, he enjoys traveling and taking long road trips on his motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road. His mission is to continue supporting the You Matter Movement and ensuring that no one has to face their struggles alone.

CARMAN BOOKER
Treasurer & Financial Oversight
Carman's Bio
A graduate of Willard High School in Willard, Missouri, Carman has furthered her professional development through multiple certifications from banking industry affiliates and training programs.
Deeply committed to community involvement, Carman holds several leadership positions, including Chair of the Public Safety Citizen’s Advisory Board for the City of Blue Springs, Executive Board Member and Business Development Lead for the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce, and Co-Chair for the Leadership Blue Springs program. She also volunteers with the Blue Springs Police Department as a Volunteer in Police Service and is a member of the Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association. Her dedication to community service and professional excellence was recognized in 2024 when she was honored as a Woman of Distinction for Eastern Jackson County.
As Treasurer for the You Matter Movement, a nonprofit organization dedicated to drug addiction recovery and suicide prevention, Carman passionately supports mental health initiatives. She believes in the power of second chances and the importance of mental health support, striving to offer resources, guidance, and hope to those affected.
Carman is also deeply passionate about supporting small businesses, focusing on fostering community development by offering meaningful services that help create a thriving, vibrant, and proud community. Her key skills and contributions include experience with boards, finance, and business, as well as deep connections within the community.
In her personal life, Carman is a devoted dog mom to three beloved bulldogs. She enjoys practicing yoga and meditation, activities that promote stress relief and mental health. Carman has been happily married to her best friend and husband for ten years.

CASSIE HINES

Cassie's Bio
Cassie Bogue Hines is a dedicated professional and community advocate based in Independence, Missouri. With a background in Massage Therapy from Heritage College, Cassie has always been passionate about health and wellness. She currently serves as the General Manager at America’s Best Eyecare + Eyewear, where she leads with a focus on exceptional service and compassionate care.
Beyond her professional career, Cassie is deeply committed to making a difference in the lives of others, particularly through her work with the YouMatter Movement. As a strong advocate for mental health awareness and suicide prevention, Cassie actively supports initiatives that foster hope, connection, and resources for those in need. She works to break the stigma surrounding mental health challenges and encourages open conversations that can save lives.
Cassie’s dedication to her community is evident in her leadership, outreach, and unwavering support for those struggling with mental health issues. She believes in the power of community, education, and compassion to create lasting change, making her an invaluable part of the YouMatter Movement and beyond.

Angie's Bio
Beyond her professional role, Angie is deeply involved in her community. She volunteers with the Blue Springs Police Department as a Volunteer in Police Service and is a member of the Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association. Her dedication to community service reflects her passion for fostering a safe and supportive environment for all residents.
Angie is also actively engaged with the You Matter Movement, a nonprofit organization dedicated to drug addiction recovery and suicide prevention. Through this initiative, she collaborates on various community outreach programs, aiming to provide hope and support to individuals and families affected by these challenges.
In her personal life, Angie is married to Jason Stillwell, a photographer and CEO of StillSkies Media. Together, they enjoy traveling and exploring new places, often capturing their adventures through photography. Angie is also an animal lover and proud dog mom to their beloved pets. She practices yoga and meditation, activities that promote stress relief and mental well-being.
Angie’s compassionate nature and dedication to both her professional and personal endeavors make her a valued member of the Independence community.

Wes Cauveren is a leader, mentor, and advocate dedicated to personal growth, empowerment, and transformation. With a 30-year corporate career spanning client account management, implementation, and leadership roles, Wes honed his skills in operations, strategy, and relationship management. However, his journey took a profound turn when he realized his true calling—to help others break free from societal expectations, heal from past wounds, and step into their highest potential.
Now, Wes channels his energy into community involvement and mental health advocacy, most notably through his work with the YouMatter Movement. Passionate about mental health awareness and suicide prevention, he is committed to fostering spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported. He believes that open conversations, genuine connection, and self-awareness are the keys to overcoming internal struggles and creating a life of meaning.
A deep thinker and seeker of truth, Wes is constantly exploring personal development, spirituality, and the inner journey of self-discovery. Susan's Bio
For two decades, she owned and operated Aspen Cleaning LLC, a construction cleaning company based in Blue Springs. Her leadership and commitment to excellence were instrumental in the company’s success until she sold the business and retired two years ago.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Susan has been deeply involved in youth development and community service. She dedicated 10 years as a Girl Scout leader and contributed 12 years to the Boy Scouts, actively participating as a leader and parent. Her involvement extended to the esteemed Mic-O-Say program, reflecting her commitment to fostering leadership and character in young individuals.
An avid outdoors enthusiast, Susan enjoys hiking, camping, and gardening. She also finds joy in reading and engaging in various crafts.
Having faced challenges related to depression, suicide, and substance abuse within her own family, Susan is passionately committed to helping others navigate these issues. Her mission is to ensure that individuals and their families do not have to endure similar hardships, embodying her dedication to community well-being and support.
